Domain Name Information
When we check on the registration information about this domain name we can see that they have been registered for a long time.
The domain has been registered since 2002 and this suggests that the pharmacy is more likely to be a legit one, as less reliable stores don’t normally manage to stay around anywhere near as long as this one has.
The registration information also shows us that a privacy service has been used to keep the real owner info out of the records. For obvious reasons, this could be seen as suspicious, though it isn’t necessarily an issue.
Business Profile
This site does give the name of the Canadian dispensing pharmacy which is good. However, they don’t provide business details for who operates this site.
The small print on the store proves information about York Pharmacy and even the contact details for the College of Pharmacists for where the dispensing pharmacy is located. Is York Pharmacy responsible for this website? They don’t make it clear on the site.
Regulatory Approvals
This pharmacy is using regulatory seals from CIPA and Pharmacy Checker to prove their credentials. It is always a good idea to check that the use of seals like this is valid. Going to both of these regulatory associations we can see that they are approved as they claim.
When we look to the findings of LegitScript we can see that they don’t have much good to say about the store. They give them an unapproved rating. While this isn’t the lowest classification they can give, it is hardly a ringing endorsement.
Pills Sold
They offer a wide selection of treatments in their pharmacy and the prices are higher than many other online drugstores. They sell both brand and the cheaper generic versions.
The pills are dispatched from an associated Canadian pharmacy which is named on the site. They also use other fulfillment centers located in many different countries, these include India, Mauritius, Turkey, Singapore, New Zealand, the UK and the US.
The use of these international dispensing locations, for what otherwise appears to be a Canadian pharmacy, could be seen as a little deceptive. They do mention this on their site in a number of places but don’t mention on the product pages where the drugs are coming from.
They do say that all of the fulfillment centers are correctly regulated in their particular countries but they provide no way in which we are able to confirm this. These centers have to be regulated for them to have accreditation from Pharmacy Checker and CIPA, so this provides some assurance of safety.
Prescription Requirements
They do need a valid prescription for drugs which require it. They cannot, however, transfer a prescription from another pharmacy outside of Canada and will need one faxed or mailed to them.
Payment and Shipping
They will take payment using:
- American Express
- E-check
- Check
- International money order
Their site is using a valid SSL certificate to make sure that your personal information is safe when using the checkout.
Shipping costs $9.95 per order. They will dispatch to the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. There may be additional charges for heavier packages or those needing specialist delivery. Shipping times are expected to be from 2 to 4 weeks.
MapleLeafMeds.com Reviews
When looking for MapleLeafMeds.com reviews online it has been difficult to find customers of this store providing their opinion. We have only been able to find one such comment.
This seems to be from a genuine customer of the drugstore and they appear to have had a good experience with the site. They do only give them a four out of five stars, however.
Conclusion
This Canadian pharmacy has regulation to make sure you are kept safe when trusting them with an order. They have been in business for a long time and we haven’t been able to find any negative customer feedback. This store isn’t perfect, however, with issues of transparency and higher prices.
Mapleleafmeds.com does not answer your calls nor email you back. They take your personal information and prescription and do nothing with it. Called over and over and after 30 minutes they drop your call. Emailed several times with no response. Did not even enter the prescription after talking to customer service after my order. Received all information and did nothing with it. Now they have all my personal data. What will become of it?
The pharmacy has a quite high-trust rating so we dare to assume that the customer service just have difficulties at this moment. How long are you waiting for their answer?
I am an American, retired on a fixed income through Social Security. I have to take an expensive medication, Briviact. My sister said, that you may be able to help me get cheaper perceptions of this drug.
Thank you
We are very pleased to hear that your sister recommend our website. You may try to use a patient savings card to make your medication cheaper or become a part of the BRIVIACT Patient Assistance Program.
Maple Leaf Meds. is outstanding. They have saved me several thousand dollars on two very expensive medications. If I get them locally from a pharmacy, it is around two thousand dollars for 90 days. I get them for much less and can afford to pay for them. They have always been courteous when I call them. Never had a problem with my orders and they do take longer as they come from some other countries. Without them, I would probably be not taking one of the medications which is life saving to me.
Thank you for you comment!
We’ve been using Mapleleaf for 2 years. They’ve always be helpful when I call.
Since COVID started there has been some issues with shipping. They are allowing an earlier refill date now which we just became aware of so we will see if that improves the arrival time. I did price check the medication that Maple leaf is filling & found it to be about $10 less, for a 3 month supply at another pharmacy. I don’t think we will find that to be enough to make a change in pharmacies. The medication in the US cost almost twice as much for 1 month here as we are paying for 3 months there. So not receiving it on time is a significant problem.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
