Domain Name Information
Details found in the domain name records shows that this pharmacy has been in business since 2016. This isn’t a very long time for a drugstore to have been in operation and increases the chances that this is a scam drugstore.
There is an address for the owner of the domain name found in the records. It tells us that they are based in Bristol, UK. It doesn’t give a business name, just a personal name. Checking the address shows that it is a real location which is a residential street.
Even though there is an address in the domain records they don’t provide any business information on the site. There isn’t a business name or an address anywhere to be found on the pharmacy.
This isn’t a good sign of a reliable pharmacy. If they don’t want to provide their contact information, how can you have any trust in the business?
There is some form of regulatory seal on the site. However, it isn’t one that we recognize and it’s not possible to click on it to get any more information or confirm it is real. This makes us think that this isn’t genuine regulatory approval.
If the address given in the domain name records is correct, this business should be registered with the UK Government agency responsible for overseeing online pharmacies. This organization is known as the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and we can check for this pharmacy on their database.
This pharmacy isn’t found in the database and they aren’t, therefore, registered. This means that if they are really located in the UK they are operating illegally.
Checking with LegitScript we can see that this issue is confirmed as they find that the store isn’t correctly regulated. This means that they are in violation of the law for where they are selling their products to.
The pharmacy is offering both brand and generic versions of popular medicines. Their best selling items are the men’s health drugs and they also offer:
- Diabetes treatments
- Skin care
- Pain relief
The product pages don’t provide any information about where the pills are manufactured or even where they are dispensed from. They may be dispensing the drugs from within the UK but they don’t say so. The pill could be dispatched from any country by people who are not qualified to do so.
This could all mean that the pills which they sell aren’t the high-quality they claim to offer. There is a risk that the drugs sold by this pharmacy are going to be fake or otherwise low-quality pills.
The pharmacy doesn’t need a prescription from their customers for whatever they want to order. This is counter to the normal rules of a pharmacy and shows that they aren’t worried about customers buying pills which aren’t suitable.
The store’s pages are secure and they take the following payments:
You can pay either $20 for registered mail or $35 for express mail. Registered mail is expected to arrive in 2 or 3 weeks and express takes around 6 to 15 business days.
There are some PureRxPills.com reviews found on the home page for this pharmacy. They don’t appear to be genuine, however, as they seem to be quite generic. One of the customers says that they were happy to use this Canadian pharmacy even though there is little to suggest that this is a Canadian store. They do use a maple leaf in the logo of the site but that is as far as it goes.
The problems we’ve found with this pharmacy are many. It suggests that the pills offered aren’t going to be as reliable as you would want them to be. They also don’t provide any information on the site about either where the drugs are dispensed from or where they are based.
